James (Jim)
Dechman joined Monitoring Technology in 1996. Jim was promoted to
President and Chief Operating Officer in 2000 and was appointed President and
Chief Executive Officer in 2002. Jim received a MBA from Harvard Business
School, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with highest honors from the University
of Texas and was a National Merit Scholar. Prior to joining Monitoring
Technology, Jim was a Consultant at Boston Consulting Group,
Production Manager at Procter & Gamble, and a Plant Engineer at Union Carbide
Corporation.

John joined Monitoring Technology in 1997 and was promoted to Chief Technical Officer in 2002. John possesses a unique blend of business and technical ability drawing on a broad background of consulting (healthcare, financial, communications, supply management, transportation, DOD) and startup experience. He was a Microsoft Windows World Open 96 finalist in the Core Business Applications category. Prior to joining
Monitoring Technology, John was a Consultant for Johns Hopkins Hospital, IBM, Planning Research, EDS, IITRI, Orbital Sciences, COMSAT, ARINC, Hughes Network Systems, APL and a host of start-ups. John's college years were spent becoming an Electrical Engineer with a computer engineering emphasis, but he didn't let that ruin a talent for software development.

In 1984, Kenneth (Ken) Lefler joined two other Ph.D.'s to found Monitoring Technology. He was appointed Chief Technical Officer in 1998 and Chief Scientist in 2002. Ken received a Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Maryland and was a Visiting Physicist at Oxford University. Ken is recognized as one of the world's leading scientists for applying digital signal processing solutions in factory floor applications.

Russell (Rusty) Leonard joined Monitoring Technology in 1999 and was promoted to Vice President of Business Development in 2002. Rusty received a MBA from the University of South Carolina where he received an award for Outstanding Academic Achievement. He also holds a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from James Madison University. Prior to joining Monitoring Technology, Rusty worked as a Consultant to various organizations including Johns Hopkins University, Hughes Network Systems, the U.S. Navy, British Aerospace, NASA and the European Space Agency.
